Yate Town Football Club can confirm that Lloyd James has departed the club to take on a new challenge, bringing an end to a successful spell with the Bluebells.
Since arriving at the South West Interiors Stadium, Lloyd has been a key figure both on and off the pitch. His experience, leadership and professionalism have made him an invaluable member of the squad, while his commitment to the club has earned the respect of teammates, staff and supporters alike.
One of Lloyd's standout achievements in a Yate Town shirt came during the 2024/25 campaign, when he played an important role in helping the club secure promotion from Step 4 to Step 3. His quality, composure and influence were instrumental throughout a memorable season that saw the Bluebells achieve one of the club's most significant successes in recent years.
A natural leader, Lloyd consistently set high standards and was a positive influence around the dressing room, helping to drive the club forward both on and off the field.
Everyone at Yate Town Football Club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Lloyd for his dedication, service and contribution during his time at the club. The memories created, particularly during the promotion-winning campaign, will not be forgotten.
We wish Lloyd and his family every success for the future as he embarks on the next chapter of his football journey.
Thank you, Lloyd.
