As he builds his squad for next season Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, is pleased to announce that full back James Taylor, will be a Yate Town player next season – the second player to commit to the club in a matter of days.

Since joining the Bluebells on loan from Truro City in early January, James made 18 full appearances scoring 4 goals and was voted the “Players Player of the Season” at the Presentation Evening at the end of last season. He was also included in the Southern League Division One South team of the season, alongside recent signing Joe Guest.

The 22-year-old has had previous experience with Bristol City, Bath City (on loan) and Cheltenham Town then moved to National League South Truro City early last season before joining the Bluebells.

James commented, ”I’m very excited for the season ahead and looking forward to playing for Darren again. I really enjoyed playing for Yate last season and am glad that I can continue playing for them still.”

Darren Mullings added, ”I am extremely pleased to have JT and someone of his quality back at the football club. He was excellent for us last season from the moment he joined on loan from Truro back in January and look forward to seeing more of the same this coming season.”
