Chertsey Town v Yate Town

Southern League Premier Division South

Friday 3rd April 2026 – kick-off 3.00pm

Be there to support YOUR local club

Yate Town travel to London to play Chertsey Town for this Good Friday fixture, with just 5 league games left to go before the end of the season.

With the lower reaches of the table very compact, and a significant number of clubs in danger of the drop, the Bluebells have all to play for as they sit in 18th position, just one point clear of the bottom four.

Form guide

Meanwhile, Chertsey Town have other aspirations at the top end of the club and will be looking for the three points to help them achieve a play-off place. March was a busy month for them, with 7 games played. The month started with 3 consecutive wins, all at home: to Dorchester (2-1), Basingstoke (4-2), and Taunton (3-1) but their next two games saw defeats at Sholing (0-4) and Plymouth Parkway (1-3) before a 3-0 home win against Wimborne. Last Saturday saw them lose 0-1 at Farnham Town. So, home form was been very productive for the club in March, winning all four games.

With 37 games played, Chertsey sit just two points outside the play-off spots, having won 17 games, drawn 9 and lost 11 times; scoring 58 goals and conceding 46 whilst amassing 60 points.

Recent meetings

This will be only the third time that the clubs have played each other. In August the Bluebells and Chertsey fought out a goalless draw at the South West Interiors Stadium and the clubs have only met once before this -  back in February 1992, when Chertsey hosted Yate Town in a Fifth Round FA Vase tie and went on to progress further in the competition, winning 3-1.

Action from the goalless draw, on 23rd August last year.
