The Bluebells travel to Evesham on Saturday, 27th December, with both teams having gained promotion last season, Yate as Champions of the Southern League Division One South, and Evesham through the play-offs.

Form guide

Both teams occupy mid-table positions at present with Evesham in 11th place, three places above Yate Town, who are four points behind but with two games in hand.

After a good start to the season, in their league matches, since the beginning of November, The Robins have played 10 games, wining 2, drawing 2 and losing 6. Their most recent victory was a 3-0 home win against Taunton Town when three first half goals bagged all three points with leading goalscorer Levi Steele on the scoresheet. Their only other win in this period was a 4-1 win at home to Dorchester last month with Steele scoring twice. The two draws were at home to Bracknell (1-1) and a 3-3 draw at Hungerford but they have failed to score in five of these last ten games. Losses in this period were at home to Farnham (1-2) plus last Saturday at Basingstoke (0-1), and prior to that away at Gosport (0-1), Sholing (0-3), Chertsey (0-4) and Plymouth Parkway (0-1).

The Robins home league form this season reads: played 11, won 5, drawn 3 and lost 3 – scoring 20 goals and conceding 10.

A big loss for Evesham has been Reegan Messenger who joined Hungerford earlier in the season and was a regular goalscorer for the side.

Evesham have played 23 league games this season having won 7, drawn 6 and lost 10 scoring 33 goals and conceding 33 times.

Recent meetings

Last season saw home wins for both sides, with Joe Guest getting the only goal of the game at the South West Interiors Stadium in November and in March, after Lucas Tomlinson had put the Bluebells in front early on, the home side scored twice to gain all three points through Reegan Messenger and Andre Wright.
