Gloucester City v Yate Town (pre-season friendly)
Friday 19th July - Kick-off 7.45pm
Yate Town travel to face Southern League Premier Division South side Gloucester City who were relegated from the National League North at the end of last season.
Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, will be looking for a greater goal threat against the higher-level opponents, and hopes soon to have both Ross Stearn and Marlon Jackson back in the squad for this, the fourth of their six pre-season friendlies arranged. Darren Mullings is a former Gloucester City player.
Gloucester City play on a 3G pitch and returned to their home, now the New Meadows Park, on the same site, in October 2020 following the flooding of their Meadow Park ground in 2007. They spent 13 seasons away in exile, playing their home games at Forest Green Rovers, Cirencester Town,
Cheltenham Town and finally Evesham United.
If you are travelling by car to the game there is limited space for car parking at TigerTurf Stadium, Sudmeadow Road GL2 5HS, and as such parking is only available on matchdays for blue badge holders (email before matchday matchday@gcafc.co.uk), guests and officials. 2 Hours free parking is available at Sainsbury's on St Ann Way GL2 5SA, a 5-minute walk from the ground.
