Yate Town travel to the south coast for the second time this month, this time to play Havant & Waterlooville for their final game of the season. The Bluebells need a point to guarantee safety and ensure their Step 3 status next season but are one of four clubs in danger of taking the last relegation spot, with things so tight at that end of the table that goal difference may even play a part depending on the results come 5pm on Saturday.
Form guide
After a poor start to the season Havant & Waterlooville have had a much better time of it since December and now sit in 9th position in the league table but must have been hoping that they would have been challenging for the play-offs. They have won 17 of their 41 league games, drawing 7 and being defeated 17 times. They are a free scoring side who have hit the back of the net on 77 occasions but they have at the same time conceded 67 goals.
Last Saturday they lost 0-2 at Poole Town and prior to that the game at Plymouth Parkway ended 3-3. The Easter weekend was fruitful with maximum points as 2-0 win at Hungerford on Good Friday was followed up by a 4-0 victory over Gosport on Easter Monday, with Alfie Whittingham scoring a hattrick. The final two games in March saw a 0-1 defeat at home to Berkhamsted followed by a 6-1 home win against Evesham United on 28th March meaning that their last 6 games have brought 10 points with three wins, one draw and two losses.
Recent meetings
The two teams have never met before the game back in December but Yate Town have previously played Havant Town and also Waterlooville before these two teams merged back in 1998.
The game in December saw Havant & Waterlooville taking all three points at the South West Interiors Stadium with a 2-1 victory with two goals in the opening 11 minutes from Ryan Seager and Leon Maloney and Corey Evans pulled a goal back for the Bluebells before half time.

Action from the game in December.
