Paulton Rovers v Yate Town
Boxing Day – kick-off 1pm

In their final game of 2023, the Bluebells travel to Paulton Rovers on Boxing Day with a 1pm kick-off.
This will be the first meeting of the 2 clubs this season and Yate Town will come up against both Kyle Tooze, who is now their player-manager, and Sam Pashen, who both started the season with the Bluebells.

Yate Town goalkeeper starred for Paulton Rovers last season and at present Paulton sit in 17th position in the League following their 2-1 win at home to Exmouth on 16th December but they then lost 0-5 at Melksham last Saturday.

The Bluebells, with Mike Baker back in defence, kept only their second clean sheet this season in the League last Saturday when they draw 0-0 at home to Bashley in a game when they had chances to win but were denied by an outstanding performance by Bashley goalkeeper Ross Casey.

Yate Town sit once place below Paulton and have one point less, both having played 15 League games so far this season, so a win for the Bluebells will mean that they leapfrog their opponents in the Southern League Division One standings.

Paulton Rovers Football Club is based on Winterfield Road in the growing village of Paulton near Bristol. The postcode of the ground is BS39 7RF and the 22-mile journey from Yate should take about 50 minutes via the A39. A good away following will hopefully be there to cheer the Bluebells on before they start 2024 with a home game against Bristol Manor Farm on New Years Day with a 3pm kick-off.
