The Bluebells travel to Weymouth for the first time this century and will be looking to add more points on the board following their first away win of the season last Saturday, at Tiverton Town which took them out of the bottom four.

Form Guide

Having spent many seasons in the top division of the Non-League game, Weymouth have, however, had a chequered history over recent years as well. Last season they were relegated from the National League South. Weymouth have had a torrid start to this season but their last two results, a 3-2 win at Farnham and a 0-0 draw at Hungerford last Saturday, seems that new manager, Steve Claridge, may have turned the corner with his squad following experiencing lots of comings and goings, both on and off the pitch, during the campaign so far.

The Dorset side sit one place above the Bluebells, in 17th position, with an identical record but have played one game less; their 13 games yielding 13 points with 3 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses having scored 14 and conceded 25. They beat Plymouth Parkway 2-0 at home in the second game of the season and had to wait until 27th September for their next win, a 4-1 home drubbing of Tiverton Town on 27th September. This was followed by a 0-6 reversal at Poole but they rebounded with the points at Fareham and Hungerford. Their other draws were at home to Bracknell and Hanwell and a point at Taunton. The Terras have lost at home to Evesham (on the opening day of the season), Gloucester City and Gosport Borough, while away defeats have occurred at Wimborne, Sholing and as stated, Poole Town,

Recent meetings

The two teams played each other in the Dr Martens Southern League Southern Division in the mid to late 1990s. The last encounters were in season 1997/98 when Weymouth were champions of this division and won their home game 4-2 in January 1998, whilst the game at Lodge Road saw them complete the double, winning 3-1 with the records showing that Paul Tovey scored for the Bluebells, his only League goal that season.
