Yate Town v Bristol Rovers XI
Pre-season friendly
Tuesday 29th July 2025 – kick-off 7.45pm
Be there to support YOUR local club.
Yate Town host a Bristol Rovers XI for their penultimate pre-season friendly and Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, will be looking for a more upbeat performance from his squad following their reversal in their last pre-season friendly against an impressive Portishead side last Friday evening.
Mullings will be hoping that he will have a greater number of players to choose from and with him looking to plug certain areas in the side following the injuries to James Taylor and Dave Sims-Burgess in the Bristol City game last week, he may well be looking at some trialists too.
Following their pre-season friendly win at Oxford United on Saturday, the Bristol Rovers side is likely to include a number of youngsters and possibly some more senior players who might need a run out before Bristol Rovers start their league campaign on Saturday. Yate Town fans would love to see Ollie Dewsbury involved, who was such a success whilst on loan to the Bluebells last season.
As always with watching the younger players there just may be a star of the future involved – always worth a look. Especially on a warm summer’s evening.
