Yate Town v Chertsey Town

Southern League Premier Division South

Saturday 23rd August 2025 – kick-off 3.00pm

Be there to support YOUR local club.

For the second consecutive home game, Yate Town entertain a previous FA Vase winner, with Chertsey Town having graced the Wembley turf in 2019, just five years after Sholing FC achieved the same accolade, by lifting the trophy.

Yate Town, with just one point from their opening three games, will be looking to add to their points tally in this, their second home game of the season. Darren Mullings has a few injury concerns but will be hoping that some of the players may be fit to return on Saturday plus there may be possible additions to the squad too.

Form Guide

After finishing in 16th position last season in the Southern League Premier Division South, Chertsey Town got off to a good start winning their opening league fixture 2-0 at Tiverton Town with goals from Ollie McCoy and Jack Mazzone. Their second game saw Berkhamsted win 1-0 at Chertsey and last Saturday, in their home game against Farnham Town, they lost again by the only goal of the game and currently sit in 14th place in the table.

Recent meetings

The clubs have only met once in the past, back in February 1992, when Chertsey hosted Yate Town in a Fifth Round FA Vase tie and went on to progress further in the competition, winning 3-1.
