Yate Town v Hanwell Town
Southern League Premier Division South
28th March 2026 – kick-off 3.00pm
Be there to support YOUR local club.
Following on from their excellent 2-2 draw with play-off placed Poole Town on Tuesday evening, the Bluebells face Hanwell Town, on Non-League Day (see offer below) in a vital fixture as they strive for safety to get out of the bottom four in the Southern League Premier Division South.
Form Guide
Hanwell Town have certainly hit form in their last 10 games, winning 7, drawing 1 and losing just twice.
Wins at home against Gosport (2-1), Bracknell (3-0), Havant & Waterlooville (3-1) and on Tuesday night against Evesham United (2-0), plus at 2-2 draw at Taunton have seen them get 22 points out of a possible 30 with loses at Wimborne (0-3) and Farnham (1-3).
These set of results have pulled them well clear of the bottom four, a place that they occupied earlier in the season, and they currently sit 12th position in the league table having won 12 times, drawn 8 and lost 14. Hanwell have scored a total of 49 goals and conceded 53 and shave 44 points.
Previous meetings
Yate Town and Hanwell Town have met just 3 times in the past before today’s game. The first time was the opening home game at the South West Interiors Stadium in season 2022/23 when the visitors raced into a 3-0 lead before goals from Prince Henry and Joe Tumelty reduced the areas but, in the end, Hanwell ran out 3-2 winners. The gate that August afternoon was 145.
The return fixture was on a Tuesday evening in February when Hanwell completed the double over the Bluebells, winning the game 3-1with Zack Drew scoring Yate Town’s goal and this game was watched by a crowd of 219.
The teams met again on August 16th this season, in what was the third league game of the season for both clubs, and again, Hanwell came out on top – this time by 3-0. Hanwell’s goals were scored by Dan Carr from the penalty spot after 34 minutes, Jordy Mongoy after 62 minutes and three minutes later Alfie Pendlebury added a third.
