Saturday 4th October 2025 – kick-off 3.00pm

Be there to support YOUR local club.

Following on from last Saturday’s 2-1 win against Plymouth Parkway at the South West Interiors Stadium. the Bluebells now embark on their FA Trophy campaign with a home game against fellow Southern League Premier Division side, Poole Town. The Bluebells had an excellent run in the FA Trophy last season, and as a Step 4 club, started at the First Qualifying stage, beating Bemerton, Bideford and Melksham in the Qualifying Rounds before going on to beat Hungerford Town away in the First Round Proper before eventually going out to National League South side Hampton & Richmond in the Second Round at the South West Interiors Stadium.

The winners of Saturday’s game will receive £2450 in prize money whilst the losing team will receive £625. If the game is level at full-time then the tie will be decided on penalties.

Form Guide

After finishing in 14th position last season, in the Southern League Premier Division South, Poole Town currently sit in 7th position with 15 points and only out of a play-off place on goal difference. They have won 4 of their 8 leagues games, drawing three and losing just once, 1-4 at Sholing, back in mid-August, and have score 11 goals and conceded 10.

Last Saturday they were amongst a number of Step 3 sides knocked out of the FA Cup by Step 2 sides, losing 0-2 at home to Weston-Super-Mare, having beaten Gosport and Didcot in the earlier rounds.

Previous meetings

The last times that the teams played each other was the last occasion that the Bluebells were in the Southern League Premier Division South, for two seasons, with Yate Town winning 2-1 at home with two goals from Luke Hopper and they got the double by winning 2-0 away with goals from Ricardo Rees and Ollie Mehew. The tables were turned the following season (2022/23) when the Dolphins did the double, winning their home game 5-0 and 3-2 at the South West Interiors Stadium with Ross Staley and Rex Mannings scoring for Yate Town in front of a crowd of 261.

The Dolphins and the Bluebells have played each other 15 times before (14 in the league and once in the FA Cup) and these 15 games have seen Yate Town win 8 times, Poole Town winning 6 times and there being just one drawn game. Yate Town have scored 45 goals to the 26 by Poole.
