Yate Town Chairman commented, ”The community Day is one firmly fixed into the club's calendar. It’s great opportunity for the club to showcase its continuing involvement in the local community. A massive thanks to Graphic Packaging International for sponsoring this event.”

The first one was held 2 years ago when Exmouth Town were the visitors and after a pitch inspection the game went ahead with the Bluebells winning 4-1 in front of their biggest crowd of the season of 464, whilst last season, 818 witnessed a 2-0 win against Tavistock.

Form Guide

After finishing second in the Isthmian League Central Division and gaining promotion via the play-off in season 2022/23, Walton and Hersham, nicknamed “The Swans” finished in 7th and then 3rd position last season in the Southern League Premier Division South, losing to Gloucester City in the play-offs.

They have started this season well and currently sit in first position having won 9 of their 11 games and will looking to secure at least a play-off place come the end of the season. The Swans recently ended Sholing’s unbeaten run by beating then at home, 2-0, at the end of last month. They have only lost once this season in the league, a 0-1 reversal at Hanwell Town in the second league game of the season.

In an incredible match at Dorchester earlier this season they were 0-3 down in stoppage time only to level the scores before the final whistle to draw 3-3.

In the FA Cup they were knocked out by National League side Chippenham Town who won 2-0 at the Elmbridge Sports Hub in the Third Qualifying Round whilst in the FA Trophy, a couple of weeks ago, they drew 0-0 with Hayes & Yeading but won the penalty shoot out to progress to the next round.

Last Saturday the Swans beat Wimborne 1-0 at home with a 10th minute goal from Johl Powell and on Tuesday evening beat Havant and Waterlooville 2-1.
