Match Report
Yate Town 2 Tiverton Town 1
Karadogan 23, Zebroski 25 | Jagger Cane 16
Southern League Premier Division South
Tuesday 9th September 2025
Yate Town gained their first win of the season in impressive style as they overcame a Tiverton Town side who played their part in an entertaining encounter. With James Taylor suspended following his sending off in the FA Cup replay against Westbury United last week and captain Joe Guest injured, Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, gave Jack Karadogan his first start in place of Guest. With Oli Jenkins moving to full back, Dayle Grubb started in midfield and Chris Zebroski started in place of Marlon Jackson.
The game started at a brisk pace with the Bluebells on the front foot from the start but after 8 minutes a quick break by the visitors, following a long ball out of defence, saw Louis Jagger Cane attempt to lob Aaron Sainsbury but his effort was well over the bar. However, it was Tiverton who did take the lead after 16 minutes when Toby Stephens’ low cross from the left found Jagger Cane and with precision and composure, he found the space to put the visitors in front with his low shot from 6 yards out.
Shortly afterwards, Corey Evans brought a fine save from Tiverton goalkeeper George Burton and with 23 minutes on the clock, Chris Zebroski’s header found Jack Karadogan in the box and after Burton had saved his first attempt, Karadogan slotted the rebound home to level the scores.

Jack Karadogan’s shot is blocked by Tiverton goalkeeper, George Burton, before he follows up to score.
Two minutes later the Bluebells took the lead when a fine move involving Will Larvin & Corey Evans saw Chris Zebroski cut inside and score with a well-placed, curling shot into the net.
Yate continued to dominate much of the rest of the first half with both White and Evans going close with efforts just wide of the post, whilst Tiverton were restricted to a couple of long-range efforts that were well off target.

Charlie White in possession.
The second half started with a good run by Oli Jenkins, who has an excellent game, but the corner came to nothing. Dayle Grubb’s 25 yard free-kick was just off target whilst Zebroski set up Evans who again was just wide from 20 yards.
Tiverton went close following a quick break down the left and as the cross came to the far post, Jagger Cane just failed to make contact and the chance was gone.
