Yate Town are delighted to announce the return of forward Nick McCootie who has signed again for the Bluebells following his departure from National League South side Weston-super-Mare, whom he rejoined last summer, having had a previous spell at the seaside club. Nick made 29 appearances (some of these off the bench) for Weston this season, scoring 4 times with one assist.
Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings is pleased to welcome Nick back to the club and commented before training this evening, “I am looking forward to Nick re-joining the club. He had a major impact after arriving in January last season and his goal scoring form and performances were crucial in our run of results and rise up the table. Nick knows the club and the group well and has the desire to help us achieve our goals this season."
Nick signed for the Bluebells at the start of 2024 after leaving Taunton Town and immediately became a popular figure at the club scoring 14 goals in just 18 appearances and winning the Golden Boot award at the end of season Player Presentation evening.
