Oli Jenkins injury update

Following Oli Jenkins’ injury at Sholing FC yesterday afternoon, when he was knocked unconscious after hitting his head on the 3G surface, we are pleased to report that he is now back home.

The injury happened in the 9th minute of the game and the medical staff from both clubs were excellent in their handling of the situation. An ambulance was called and Oli was taken to Southampton Hospital where he was assessed and eventually discharged. He sustained a black eye and grazing to the left side of his face. The game eventually restarted after a 55-minute delay.

The club would like to thank all the medical staff who were involved in treating and supporting Oli, for their care and professionalism. Oli will continue to be monitored after this head injury and we all wish him a swift recovery and will ensure that everything is right for him before he plays again.
