Yate Town can confirm that midfield player, Matt Britton, who has been on loan at Portishead Town for the past couple of months, has now joined them permanently for the rest of the season.
Matt signed for the club last summer from Tiverton Town and made 14 appearances and 10 from the bench for the Bluebells, scoring once – the winning goal in the home game against Basingstoke.
Joe Keeping, who spent a brief time with the club, has now signed for Cinderford Town. Joe played five times for Yate Town.
We wish both players the best in their future careers.
Lewis Hall (31) has decided to hang up his boots and retire from football, following the injury he sustained in the second game of the season at Taunton and when he came back into action, briefly, last month, he sustained a knee injury and with a young family, the club respect his decision and thank him for his time at the club. Lewis was a major part of last season’s championship side. Lewis played 76 times for the club, having signed in March 2022 from Swindon Supermarine.
The photograph shows Lewis Hall (left) being presented with the Players’ Player of the award by captain Joe Guest, at last season’s presentation evening. Lewis also won the Supporters’ Player of the Season Award.
