Yate Town FC are pleased to welcome back 25-year-old midfield player, Rex Mannings, who spent time at the South West Interiors Stadium a couple of seasons ago whilst on loan from Bath City.
Rex started his career in at Bristol City and then moved to Oxford United’s academy. Following his release, he spent a season at Bristol Manor Farm before joining Frome Town in 2018. He moved to Bath City in the summer of 2022 and came on loan to the Bluebells in February 2023.
Season 2023/24 saw Rex play 33 league matches for National League South side Weston-super-Mare. Last season he joined Chippenham Town and during the season was loaned to one of his former clubs, Frome Town.
Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, was pleased with another acquisition commenting, “I am delighted to welcome Rex back to the South West Interiors Stadium. Having known Rex for some time I have no doubt he will be a fantastic addition to the group, bringing technical ability and creativity to the squad.”
Returning to the club, Rex said, “I am really looking forward to it – it’s a local club to where I live, so it means a lot to be part of it. I had a short spell here before and really enjoyed my time, so I am excited to be back. I can’t wait to get to know the fans, link up with everyone and it’s great to be back in the Bluebells shirt.”
