Squad Update

There have been a few coming and goings recently as Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, has had had to deal with injuries to key players and find replacements during this period.

Departing is Bevan Cross (pictured below) who has moved back to Westbury United.

Also leaving the club is Dan Dempsey (pictured below). Darren Mullings said of the player, ”Dan has been excellent in my time at the club over the past couple of years, but he has decided to take a break from football for the time being but will always be welcome here and we hope that he comes back and sees us, as he played an important part in helping us gain promotion last season”.

Jeffrey Forkuo, Jack Karadogan and Wayne Nderemani have got valuable minutes playing time elsewhere and will be looking to put themselves back into the picture with us when the time is right.

On dual registration are Jack Karadogan at Corsham, Wayne Nderemani at Paulton Rovers and Theo Jeremy at Cirencester Town.

Returning to the club is midfield player Oli Jenkins who joins on loan from Weston-super-Mare until early January and of course scored the late winner against Plymouth Parkway last Saturday.

New signing Omar Taylor-Clarke (21) last played for Scottish Championship club Dunfermline Athletic.

Taylor-Clarke left the Cardiff City academy to join Bristol City from under-13 level and in October 2022 he signed a professional contract until 2025 with Bristol City. Taylor-Clarke was loaned to Yate Town in 2022 and he scored on his debut, a 6–0 friendly win over Cinderford and went on to make 5 league appearances at the start of season 2022/23. During his time at Ashton Gate, he made 6 first team appearances and also spent time on loan at Weston-super-Mare.

Aaron Evans-Harriott (22) - pictured below - started his career at Cheltenham Town and became the youngest player to represent the club since first joining the Football League. In February 2020 he joined Coventry City before playing for Evesham in 2022 and later for Bishops Cleeve. He represented Wales at Under 15 level. Aaron scored on his debut for the Bluebells after coming on as a second half-substitute at Basingstoke.
