Will Larvin injury update

Following the injury to Will Larvin, in the opening 15 minutes of the game against Gloucester City last Saturday, Will went to hospital after his injury and we can confirm that the 20-year-old defender fractured his right fibula and has required surgical intervention. Everybody at Yate Town FC wishes Will a speedy recovery.

Yate Town assistant manager, Paul Tovey, commented “The one downside of what has been a remarkable couple of weeks has been the injury to Will Larvin that he sustained in the first half against Gloucester City.

In his first game back after a period out of the side with his knee issues, he got injured after a full throttle tackle, and subsequently he was operated on last week.

They found a break to his fibula as well as significant ligament damage, but the operation went well and initially he will be in a boot for 6 weeks. The club, staff and players are there for anything we can do to help him, in what with be another longish period of recuperation, and we hope to see him back at the South West Interiors Stadium as soon as possible.”

Whilst Chairman, Mark Thorne, said,” We wish Will a quick and full recovery from the injury sustained in the recent Gloucester City match. We will of course do everything we can to help Will with his recuperation and recovery.”
