With pre-season training starting next week Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings, has strengthened his squad by signing 30-year-old Matt Britton from Tiverton Town.
Britton signed for Tiverton in July 2022 and was their club captain last season. He started his career at Cadbury Heath and then moved to Larkhall Athletic in 2017 and was there up until February 2022 and spent the remainder of season 2021/22 at Swindon Supermarine before joining Tiverton, where he spent the last three seasons.
Commenting on his latest signing, Darren Mullings said, ”Matt will be an excellent addition to the team. His physical presence, combined with his outstanding leadership skills and experience at this level will be important next season”.
Pleased to be joining a club closer to home Britton enthused, “I spoke to Daz a number of times and he has been doing a brilliant job here and has brought success to the club. I want to help carry this on, for the club to consolidate in the higher division and have a good enjoyable season”.
