Yate Town FC Community Day

YATE TOWN FC COMMUNITY DAY
YATE TOWN v TAVISTOCK AFC

Saturday 19th October – kick-off 3pm

PAY WHAT YOU WANT

So what else is happening?

St Peter’s Hospice, the club’s charity of the season, will be at the ground selling their merchandise outside the clubhouse and will be holding a bucket collection at half-time. There will be lots of information about St Peter’s Hospice in the match day programme and we hope that fans will give generously to the bucket collection. This is just one of a number of fund-raising activities that the club will be doing throughout the season to support St Peter’s Hospice. We also hope to have Lenny, the St Peter’s Hospice mascot, at the game on Saturday. You can look at the St Peter’s Hospice website here: https://www.stpetershospice.org/

South Gloucestershire Foster Care (Foster South Glos.) will also be at the ground with their van (pictured below) as they are looking to make people more aware of what they are doing and trying to achieve for children and potential foster carers in the local community.

Could you open your heart and home to help a child or young person reach their full potential?

Foster South Glos needs foster carers to join its team to help care for children and young people who are unable to live with their family.

If you are over 21 years old, have a spare bedroom and the time and love to give to a child or young person, you could foster. Find out more about the role, the support you receive and how to apply at fostersouthglos.org.uk

Vintage Ices will be at the ground selling ice creams.

Yate Town have linked in with the media department at SGS in Filton and a number of students will be around the ground taking photographs and also asking fans various questions, and recording the answers, this being linked to their studies. Your co-operation in supporting these students would be greatly appreciated as they embark on a career in media. And of course, our very own Joe Holbrook, who we started working with whilst he was a student at SGS last academic year is now the club’s video analysist having now also gone onto university and the club are proud to have played a part in his progress. The game will also be filmed by one of the students as part of his studies.

Yate United Under 10’s will be mascots for the game and they will be involved in a crossbar challenge at half-time with some of their parents – should be fun to watch!

The Premier League game between Spurs and West Ham will be on the TV screens in the clubhouse – kick off it as 12.30pm and the turnstiles and bar open at 12.15pm with draught beers available at £3.90 a pint from 12.15pm until 2.00pm.

PARKING

Please try to get to the game early to avoid congestion and we also ask that fans avoid parking in the “Addlings” near the ground. There are other alternatives places to park such as in the trading estate near the ground as well as the car park within the ground.

Please also note that there is likely to be more congestion on the roads due to the M4 being closed as the bridge on Badminton Road is being removed this coming weekend.

A match preview with more information will be out on social media and on the club website on Friday www.yatetownfc.co.uk

The club will also be having a stand in Tesco on Saturday morning when they will be promoting the game plus also collecting for St Peter’s Hospice.

We hope that everyone attending Saturday’s game enjoys their day.
