Yate Town are pleased to announce the addition to their squad of James Ollis.
The 25-year-old striker came through the Bath City FC Academy and signed a one-year contract going out on loan a number of times, prior to Covid, before spending a number of seasons at Frome Town where he was a regular goal scorer; his goals helping the club gain promotion at the end of season 2023/24. He played regularly for Frome Town last season in the Southern League Premier Division South before signing for Hungerford Town in late May 2025.
This season he made 17 appearances for Hungerford, scoring 5 times, having two assists plus being Player of the Match three times.
Yate Town manager, Darren Mullings commented, “James is someone we have followed and liked for a while, and it’s great that we have been able to prize him away from Hungerford at this stage of the season. He has done well and scored goals everywhere he has played and his attributes will add a different dimension to our attack. I think it shows that we are going about things in the right way that players of this calibre want to join us.”
