Club Statement

Yate Town Football Club were really pleased to get nearly 400 people through the turnstiles for their first home fixture of the season against Malvern Town on Wednesday evening. In an exciting second half a great atmosphere was created as Yate fought back from 3-0 down at half time to eventually lose 2-3.

The club are trying to promote a family atmosphere and encourage as many people as possible to attend games. It was really encouraging to see so many younger people at the game. Everyone has a responsibility as to how they behave and sadly a very small number of people’s behaviour was unacceptable and this does not set the right example to the youngsters (and people of all ages) that we are trying to attract to the club.

As a football club we will not accept any form of abusive language or inappropriate behaviour and will take action against anyone who we feel falls below the standards that we set.

Our officials and stewards work hard on match days and if you hear or see anything at a game that you feel is inappropriate, please inform a club official or steward.

We look forward to a positive response as we promote the right values at Yate Town Football Club.
