Yate Town are back in league action with a trip down to Dorset to take on Wimbourne Town.
After a run of cup games, The Bluebells will be looking to focus on moving up the Southern Premier Division South table
The Opposition:
Wimbourne Town return to their home ground, the Wyatt Homes Stadium, after an FA Trophy triumph against Monneyfields (3-1) away from home. The Magpies also secured a brilliant FA Cup victory against National League South side Western Super-Mare on penalties. In the league, Wimbourne have collected 9 points over 7 games and have a record of 2 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. The Magpies started the season with back to back losses against Frome Town and Chichester City but have been unbeaten in their last five league games since. Their two victories have come against Malvern Town (3-0) and in their most recent game against Bracknell Town with a 2-0 win at home which put them 15th in the league.
Last season Wimbourne finished just one point behind Yate Town, collecting 51 points over 42 matches.
Previous Meetings:
Yate Town and Wimbourne played each other twice last season in the league. The first meeting of the season was at the Wyatt Homes Stadium where, despite scoring first, Wimbourne ran away with the game and the 3 points in a 4-1 victory. In the rematch at the South West Interiors Stadium Wimbourne scored first but The Bluebells equalised late in the game to split the points in a 1-1 draw.
