Yate Town FC link up with St Peter’s Hospice as their new charity of the season.

Yate Town FC will be linking up with St Peter’s Hospice, who will be the club’s charity of the season for the next 12 months.

Sophie Culliname, Community Fundraising Manager for St Peter’s Hospice commented, “On behalf of everyone at St Peter's Hospice, we want to extend our gratitude to Yate Town Football Club for choosing us as your Charity of the Season. We are touched by your decision to honour the memory of Ian Prior, your former secretary, who was in our care earlier this year. Your support means a great deal to us and to all those we care for. We are looking forward to supporting you with your fundraising events and bucket collections. Your efforts will make a significant difference, helping us to continue to provide compassionate care to our patients and their families".

Yate Town Chairman, Mark Thorne said, ”We are looking forward to building up a similar relationship with St Peter’s Hospice as we did with our last charity of the season, the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, and following the passing away of our former club secretary, Iain Prior, who St Peter’s Hospice helped look after in his last few weeks of his life, they seemed an obvious choice to be our new charity of the season”.
