We are pleased to confirm that just over £1000 has been raised so far for the Yate Town FC charity of the season – the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity.
Philippa Walker from Great Western Air Ambulance Charity commented:
“We are so incredibly lucky to have such dedicated and enthusiastic supporters in Yate Town Football Club and we are delighted to celebrate their fundraising for GWAAC reaching £1,000. To put this into perspective, £1,000 could fund a full set of uniform for one of our Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care or the cost of a years’ supply of Paediatric defib pads. We have just rounded off our second busiest year on record with 1979 missions in 2023, so the fundraising efforts of the Club and Yate Town supporters is so very appreciated. Thanks for all you have done so far and we look forward to continuing to work together in 2024!”
Yate Town are planning to hold a bucket collection for the GWAAC at their home game against Bideford on Saturday 24th February to raise further funds and have another couple of projects in the planning stage. The club would like to thank all the people who have helped raise this four-figure sum so far.
