Yate Town FC Stadium Walk in Aid of British Heart Foundation & Bluebells Budget Booster

This season Yate Town FC have teamed up with the British Heart Foundation who are the club’s charity of the season.

The club has already raised nearly £500 for the BHF and they have been kind enough to hold two CPR sessions in the clubhouse. We will be holding another bucket collection for the BHF at our home game against Dorchester Town on Saturday 7th February.

BUT there is more to do!

We had this communication from the British Heart Foundation:

Walk for Hearts This Heart Month, we’re challenging you to walk 28 miles or more in February to support lifesaving research. You can go on short walks in your local park during the week or save your miles up and go on longer walks in the countryside with friends at the weekend. It’s your challenge, so you choose when and where you get your miles in! To find out more and sign-up search “BHF Walk For Hearts”.

So, Yate Town FC would like to get about 20 to 25 people to walk around the pitch 28 times on a Sunday, in February, and collectively be sponsored for this. Half the money would go to the British Heart Foundation and half to the Bluebells Budget Booster.

Interested? Then please let Mark Thorne know ASAP at Chairman@yatetownfc.co.uk

The walk around the pitch will take place on Sunday 22nd February, with an 11am start.

We already have some people signed up including assistant manager, Paul Tovey, some people from our shirt sponsors GPI and hopefully a couple of players. We are looking for a maximum of 25 people.

We look forward to seeing you.

You could be helping to save a life.

You can donate money via a special JustGiving Page (not to be confused with the original JustGiving Page on our website) and we will then donate half the money raised to the British Heart Foundation.

To donate and make contributions to both the British Heart Foundation and the Bluebells Budget Booster please go to https://gofund.me/4db3b90a4 and the money will be split accordingly.
