After watching the Blue team miss out narrowly, U18 White came out in determined mood, and they were quickly ahead. Billy Michael pinched possession, rolled the ball into Jack Perry, and his perfectly weighted through-ball was latched onto by Stephen Adeniyi, who cooly finished underneath the on rushing keeper after just a few minutes play.
The young Bluebells then found themselves 2-0 up with Adeniyi grabbing his second just moments later. A crunching tackle by the combative Ryan Base resulted in a long ball played over the top for the striker to cut inside a defender and slot home his second.
A series of corners were followed by a free kick on the edge of the visitors area after the lively Kian Bryant was tripped. Billy Michael took the resulting free kick and Tristan Base reacted first and rose highest to nod Yate 3-0 up.
The young Bluebells continued to assert their dominance with the Whitchurch keeper making a number of point blank saves; however the Whitchurch resolve was once again broken, the ball falling to Jack Perry who smashed home from the edge of the 18 yard box for a 4-0 half-time lead.
The second half began where the first had left off with Yate Town having much of the ball, although a Whitchurch breakaway almost saw them pull a goal back and the young Bluebells were glad to see the striker's effort fly wide when he was bearing down on Joe Tibbert in the home goal.
Yate continued to probe and ask questions of the Whitchurch defence, and a ball out to the left saw Kian Bryant put into the area, only to be wrestled to the ground with the referee awarding a penalty. Bryant dusted himself down to take the penalty himself smashing his shot into the top right corner giving the keeper no chance.
And the scoring was completed by sub Dom Hodges, who notched his fifth of the season with a confident first-time finish.
Yate Town U18 White complete their season with home and away matches against high-flying Hanham Abbotonians, but if they can keep up this sort of form, they have nothing to fear.
